Advanced Learners

Our advanced learners require intervention with learning specific advanced social, play, language, and academic skills. For advanced learners, their intervention consists of home and community based programming that targets their advanced language development needs. Assessment tools such as: VB-MAPPS, ABLLS-R, Social Language Test, and the Test of Problem Solving are some of the assessments used to identify advanced and pragmatic language goals for our advanced learners. Advanced learners typically spend 12-20 hours a week in intensive intervention, which is comprised of:
  • One on one instruction to learn component skills through the use of Precision Teaching and Direct Instruction
  • Natural Environment Teaching (NET)
  • Incidental Teaching
  • Playdates
  • Community Based Outings
  • Social Groups
  • Curriculum Based Measurement
Many families have questions about how to schedule the recommended hours of intervention into their busy lives. If you have any questions feel free to Contact Us.
